内容概要:

Metallic Gold has been believed to be catalytically inactive due to its high ionization potential and the lack of adsorption ability.  In contrast, nanometer-sized gold clusters exhibit catalytic activity especially toward the aerobic oxidation reactions.  We have been investigating a series of studies on catalytic activity of colloidal nanogolds stabilized by hydrophilic polymers such as poly-N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (PVP) [1].  In this presentation I will talk some of the topics among the followings:
1. Size effect of nanogold on aerobic oxidation catalyst
2. New type of reactivity of nanogold: aerobic oxidation /formal Lewis acid catalyst
3. Matrix effect for the selective synthesis
4. Doping (bimetallic) effect for novel reactivity
