演讲者简介：
Stephen Rowe is an award-winning teacher, and author of many books, including Rediscovering the West: An Inquiry into Nothingness and Relatedness (also translated and published in China.) He is a long-time advocate of both liberal education and international dialogue, and is committed to the idea that these practices are capable of cultivating the mature human being which is necessary for the human future. His degrees are from Colgate University and the University of Chicago.
演讲内容梗概：
Dialogue between China and the U.S., as an alternative to “the clash of civilization,” as a relationship in which the best of each society comes forward and cooperation becomes possible. Rowe will discuss this orientation to his latest book, overcoming America / America Overcoming: Can We Survive Modernity?
